Evelyn T. Ciardella

Affectionately known to her family and all who knew her as Josie.

Josie passed away peacefully with her family by her side on March 4, 2018 in Sacramento, California. She was born on May 4, 1926 in Los Valdeses, Colorado to Roberto and Rosalba Lopez Lobato who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her first husband Victor Sanchez, baby son John Joseph Sanchez, siblings Joe Labato, Julian Lobato, Naomi Lobato, Margaret Lobato and Olivia Aguilar.

Josie enjoyed going out to lunch with her friends but her biggest enjoyment was spending time with her family, her grandsons and her great-granddaughter Arabella.

She is survived by her husband Dante Ciardella, her son Dante Ray Ciardella, son Victor Larry Sanchez and his wife Linda. She is also survived by her two grandsons, Victor Sanchez and Dante Ciardella III and her great-granddaughter Arabella. She is also survived by her sister Eleanor Martinez from Monte Vista, Colorado and her brother Alberto Victor Lobato from Ogden, Utah. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews who will all miss her for she was loved by all of us.

A visitation for Evelyn (Josie) will be held Thursday, March 14, 2019 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Nicoletti, Culjis & Herberger Funeral Home, 5401 Folsom Blvd, Sacramento, CA 95819. A rosary will occur Thursday, March 14, 2019 from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM, 5401 Folsom Blvd, Sacramento, CA 95819. A Private Funeral Mass will be held at a later date.
