Evelyn L. Friedenbloom, born on January 9, 1927 in Sacramento, California, passed away peacefully on June 13, 2014 in Sacramento, California. She was preceded in death by parents Pearl & Bessie Strain, her loving husband of 55 yrs., John P. Friedenbloom, and her grandson Eric Ackermann. Evelyn is survived by her son Dennis(Carolina,), and daughter Kathleen. She will be missed by many, including her 3 grandchildren & 7 great-grandchildren.
Evelyn was a longtime veteran’s rep for the Employment Development Dept. She loved to garden and was a bonsai aficionado. She was a very proud Sacramento native & lifelong resident. She was thought of as a very special great grandmother, pet lover, and she is leaving behind her beloved cairn terrier ‘Casey Lee’.
Services will be held on June 19, 2014 at 11:00 AM at Nicoletti, Culjis & Herberger Funeral Home, 5401 Folsom Blvd., Sacramento, CA. Viewing will be held on June 18, 2014 from 4pm-7pm at Nicoletti, Culjis & Herberger, Sacramento, CA. Entombment to follow after at East Lawn Cemetery, 4300 Folsom Blvd., Sacramento, CA.
