Floyd was born to Floyd Packer Sr and Alvernon Lewis, December 5, 1950, in Pittsburg, Ca. He graduated from Pittsburg High School in 1969. He leaves to cherish his memory his beloved children: Shawntrice Packer Taliaferro (Nicolaus Taliaferro), Floyd Packer III ( Patricia Packer), Isaiah Packer, Norman Packer, Jeaynae Hudson (Marlon Hudson Sr.), and Christina Barajas (Christian Barajas). Twelve grandchildren, grandsons: Joshua Packer, Jordan Taliaferro, Floyd Packer IV, Justin Packer, Justice Packer, and Marlon Hudson Jr. His granddaughters: Sydnee Packer, Bryana Packer, Jacinda Packer, Lynzie Hudson, Cheryl Hightower and Darlene Rodriguez. His partner Felicia Moore. His siblings Thomas Turner, Ruby Ireland-Davis and Jo (Edna) Powell. As well as, host of nieces and nephews. His children remember him as a loving father, a best friend and a confidant.
He was preceded in death by Floyd Packer Sr., (Father), Alvernon Lewis, (Mother), and Kristine Parker, (Sister).
Floyd had a multitude of jobs in his life time. His most recent position was with Sacramento Regional Transit, as a Bus operator until he retired in 2017. Floyd loved peanut butter cookies, he was learning to play Golf and he just couldn't sit still he was driving people for fun after retiring. He also loved to barbecue and his oldies music.
