

Preceded in death by parents, Lucy and Peter Borgia and brother, Victor Borgia; survived by his beloved nephews, Jonathan, Micah (Cassy), Noah, great nephew, Josiah Thomas, sister-in-law, Linda and numerous relatives.
Born and raised in Sacramento CA., Frank graduated from Sacramento High School, Sacramento City College, attended University of Stockholm and graduated from CSU Sacramento where he received his teaching credential and Master's Degree. 'Mr. Borgia' taught High School at Folsom High and Hiram Johnson where he graced his students for over thirty years with boundless energy, dedication and creative instruction. Students, parents and facility alike were in awe of his dedication and ability to bring out the best in his learners. Frank lived the educational axiom, 'You never stand so tall as when you stoop to help a child.' Frank sponsored the Black Student Union, Maya Club, and Asian Culture Club, and was awarded the Sacramento City and Sacramento County Teacher of the Year.
With summers devoted to youth, Frank taught low-income students at the San Francisco YMCA and was also the Counselor at Camp Sierra for special needs children. He was awarded a Summer Fulbright Scholarship to India and traveled extensively throughout his life to Africa, Asia, Europe and South America. A longtime board member of Stanford Home for Children, Frank's service to children was tireless.
In retirement, Frank enjoyed traveling, golfing, gardening, spinning, yoga, theater, art and finally, acting. Friends and family enjoyed his witty emails from Hollywood filled with star sightings, and often hilarious and colorful details. Frank thoroughly enjoyed his time in Los Angeles where he enrolled in acting classes and workshops, making new friends along the way. His efforts paid off as he landed a part in a national commercial and enjoyed roles in independent films.
Frank built a life based on faith and love dedicated to God, family, friends and his Italian culture. Frank never knew a stranger. He had a zest for life and an innate optimism and compassion for others as proven by his lifelong friendships. Due to complications related to heart disease, Frank was called home to be with the Lord. Frank valued the gift of life as evidenced by his own.
Relatives and friends are welcomed to visitation and Rosary, 4:00PM on Sunday, October 7, at Nicoletti, Culjis & Herberger Funeral Home, 5401 Folsom Blvd, Sacramento and invited to attend a Mass at Holy Spirit Church, 3159 Land Park Dr., Sacramento 10:00AM on Monday, October 8. Following Mass there will be a reception at the Dante Club, 2330 Fair Oaks Blvd., Sacramento. There will be a private interment at St. Mary's Cemetery.
