Gino Ziliotto

Gino passed away in Sacramento on November 12, 2012, with his family at his side at the age of 91. He was born in Lompoc, CA to Maria and Elario Ziliotto. He attended Lompoc High School, Santa Maria Jr. College and Bliss Electrical College in Maryland. In 1943, he was drafted into the Army and served in the Pacific Theater in New Guinea and Luzon until 1946. He came to Sacramento and worked at Mather AFB until 1983. He met the love of his life, Emily Nannini, married in 1950 and enjoyed fishing, gardening, traveling and raising a family. He was predeceased by brother, Mario Vial, and daughter, Nancy Ziliotto. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Emily, and granddaughter, Julianna. Gino was dedicated to his family and well loved by many friends that were lucky to have known him. He leaves an empty place in our hearts, but his kindness, wit, and charm will always remain.

Friends are invited for viewing at Nicoletti, Culjis & Herberger at 5401 Folsom Blvd. on Monday, November 26th at 9:00AM, followed by a Mass at St. Mary's Church at 58th & M Sts. at 10:30AM, then entombment at St. Mary's Mausoleum. Remembrances in his honor may be made to the American Lung Assn ., American Heart Assn. , or charity of your choice .
