Gloria K. Barbera

Born February 28, 1926 in Florin, California, passed away peacefully on March 23, 2011 after her battle with cancer and dementia. Gloria attended Elk Grove High School and upon graduation she met and married Pete Barbera. They spent the next 61 years together until Pete's passing in 2006. Next to raising her family, Gloria's passions were for bowling, traveling and volunteering her time at Sacramento Children's Home. Gloria is survived by her children, Patti and Kim, and three grandchildren, Rob, Michelle and Annie. The family would like to thank the Eskaton care facility's nurses and staff who provided all the TLC that made Gloria's final days comfortable. Family and friends are invited to funeral services on Thursday, March 31, 2011 at 1 o'clock in the afternoon at Harry A. Nauman & Son, Land Park Funeral Chapel, 4041 Freeport Blvd., Sacramento. In lieu of flowers, relatives and friends are asked to make a donation to breast cancer or Alzheimer's research. Mom/Grandma, we love and miss you. Please give Papa our love.
