What a wonderful lady, she was always so bright and cheerful- yes she loved bright clothes, her smile was infectious. My last visit with her was several days before her passing, I shall remember her smile. God speed your journey we all love you.

Gloria always wore bright colors.
My name is Anthony Plaza and I married into the Pieretti family in the early 1970's.
My first impression of Gloria was that she had a kind and generous heart.
Sometimes in life you hear complaints from son-in-laws about their mother-in-laws.
I could never say anything negative about Gloria and I wouldn't want to. She was a very wonderful,kind and very positive person.
I felt the love in her heart from the first day I met her. Over all these many years, I have been treated and loved by her, just like a son.
At Christmas time, Michael and I would open our gifts at the same time, because Gloria made sure that we each received equal gifts.
Gloria enjoyed life, good food, good friends and her family. She would laugh at herself and often shared silly situations that she got herself into.
I remember her recounting the story of the time she was cooking dinner and was going to snack on a rope piece of black lickerish, one of her favorite candies. Paying attention to the pots on the stove she reached into her candy drawer and felt around and pulled out a black rope of lickerish and started to chew on it.
Thinking that the candy was old and dried out, after several attempts to bite off a piece of candy, she relized she was chewing on the power cord of the toaster. 
Gloria always made time for her grandkids. She would spend hours cuting and then pasting pictures into a book to share with the grandkids when they were young. She would rejoice in their accomplishments, no matter how small and always would complement them for any success they would have.
Gloria would often talk about the family history, family traditions and share the family recipes. Gloria and her daughter Vicky,(my wife) have now handed down the family tradition of making homemade raviolis, her special chicken basting, and spaghetti sauce to her grandkids.
Up until the last few weeks of her life, Gloria was fully engaged with our familes. She kept in contact with her family and friends through her sister Anita, on a daily basis. Although Gloria was hesitant to hold the younger great grandkids, her youngest great granddaughter Tori, would not hesitate to climb up on her lap to have a book read, sing a song or
just to give her a hug and kiss goodnight.
Gloria always looked at the good side of life and always found a way to comfort anyone who was going through a rough patch in their life. Simply put, Gloria was an optimist in life, a very positive person. She was a good mother, mother-in-law, grandmother and great grandmother.
Although you will be missed dearly, we will rejoice youe long life and many accomplishments.
Gloria you were absolutely the best. Just like the clothes you wore, you always looked toward the bright side of life.

We sure missed your smiling face sitting @ Table 1 at the crab feed last night, but we were so happy to see that those seats were filled with much of your family.   We have many wonderful memories of that crab feed with you and Guido sitting there in that same spot for so many years.

We will miss you and we know that God saved a special place for you up there in heaven to be with Him.  Maybe you were having your own crab feed and celebrating with all of us--how wonderful to think that might be.

Your children and grandchildren do you proud and we know that all are going to miss you greatly.   May each find peace within themselves to deal with their sadness.
