Horace was born July 15, 1925 in Sacramento at Sutter Hospital to Carol & Horace Wulff. He was a 3rd generation Wulff with ancestors going back to Gold Rush era settling in Rescue & Placerville & Elk Grove/Galt. He grew up in a loving family that included sister Caroline & brother Bob. His education was at Arden Jr. High, Sacramento High class of 1943, & Stanford University with a BS & MS in Engineering class of 1948. After graduation he married Helen Ferguson & they had a son John & daughter Ann.
He worked at Campbell Soup & for 15 years at Aerojet. In 1971 he & Helen realized a dream by opening Wulff’s French Restaurant. With the help of many great employees the restaurant enjoyed 20 years of great success & is still remembered fondly by many.
After retiring Horace married Nina Bibinoff & they had a full life skiing, sailing, travelling & being with their many friends.
In high school he was a member of the 36 Club and in college to Phi Kappa Psi Fraternity. Later he joined the Kandahar Ski Club, Corinthian Yacht Club, Rotary Club of Sacramento & the Sutter Club.
He is survived by wife Nina, cousins, nephews & nieces & daughter-in-law Kathleen Bibinoff. Pre-deceased by his children John & Ann & stepson Mike Bibinoff.
His health in the past year was not as good as he would have liked, but he was lucky enough to live a heathy and vigorous life past the age 95. He was looking forward to his 96th birthday in July. He had very good care at Sutter Roseville Hospital & the Hospice team. Also, a special thanks to Kevin, Paulini, Albert, Kelly & Sereana & Lani from Cathy’s Angels Agape Home Care.
His was a life well lived.
