A loving father and wonderful friend. An old soul who’s energy was eternally bright and youthful. He was the type of man that everyone loved to be around. His powerful laughter was so contagious and he always had the best stories to tell. You’d find yourself staying an extra hour, even if you’d heard it before. More than anything, he was extremely kind hearted and selfless. You could tell him anything without judgment and always feel supported, but he’ll leave you with some words of wisdom that will always be carried at heart. He was also particularly stubborn, which at times could be frustrating, but at the end of the day-that was one of his best qualities and made him who he was. It will be deeply missed. You lived an amazing life, one that many could only dream of. Music was a great part of it. You witnessed history at Woodstock 69. You were warned by the Hendrix backstage manager to keep that fire extinguisher handy. You danced your heart out at every Grateful Dead show. And even fell asleep on the stage of a Led Zeppelin concert! I could listen to you re-tell these stories over and over. We are so blessed to have been able to spend your 71st birthday with you. Your spirit will continue to live on within us and we cannot be more thankful to have had you as our father. We love you so much.
