Jeffrey Thomas Ellis

Jeff graduated from Luther Burbank Senior High School in Sacramento, CA Class of 1975. His passion for music lead to a career with various cruise lines, including Holland America and Royal Caribbean where he played the trumpet and was a music director. A true world traveler, Jeff enjoyed visits to nearly every continent, having circled the globe. He arranged, directed and performed many types of music including Big Band, Broadway shows and musical revues.

He is survived by his mother, Margaret (Peggy) Ellis, Rockwall, TX, brother Kevin (Debbi) Ellis, Aurora, IL, sister Amy (Matt) Catchings, Rockwall, TX, nephew Andrew Ellis, Jacksonville, FL, nieces Taylor Scheid and Hannah Scheid, Forney, TX, Madison (Ethan) Gainey, Fate, TX and Kaleigh Ellis, Germantown, WI. Jeff was preceded in death by his father Lee M. Ellis in 2023 and sister Julie L. Ellis in 2025.

The family would like to thank the nurses and doctors at Kaiser Permanente Sacramento Medical Center for providing Jeff with excellent end-of-life care. There will be no services.
