I was fortunate to meet and know Mr. Ciani through attendance at St. Mary's and the Piemonte Reale.  He was delightful and always had a positive comment on daily events.  Nina, I am so sorry for your loss - I know it must be very difficult given his wonderful nature.  You were so fortunate to have a father such as him.

To the Ciani family, my prayers are with you all, John Ciani was a true example of a kind person, and devoted to his parish by the way he carried himself, his smile will always be remembered, and I will keep him close to my heart, it was an honor to have him as an usher at St. Marys, and I modeled myself after him as an usher, and his legacy will live on. May God Bless

Dear Alice, Linda, Nina and Family,
We were so very sorry to hear of John's death.  Every Sunday morning at 9:30 he greeted us in such a friendly manner.  He always treated our grandchildren kindly and we appreciated that so much.  He was a true gentleman and it was a pleasure to know him.  We will miss him greatly.  You all have our deepest sympathy for your loss.

John was a wonderful man who always had a smile for everyone.We were in the Piemonte Reale Italian Club together.Always a kind word to all.I never knew John fought for his country and was decorated in WW II and I thank him for keeping us all safe.May his family have peace and wonderful memories of this sweet man.Riposa in pace-Mike Pontarelli
