

It is with heavy hearts and great sadness that we her sisters and brother announce the peaceful passing at home of Josefina in the very early hours of Friday, October 22, 2021 after a brief battle with liver cancer. Josie was the 4th child born in San Antonio, Texas to María de Lourdes and Vincent Morales on August 8 1948. She attended school in San Antonio, and Ft. Worth, Texas. Relocated from Texas to Sacramento California In 1964. Graduated from C.K. McClatchy and attended Sacramento City College. Worked for the County of Sacramento Department of Air Port park maintenance where she developed a strong work ethics retiring after 30 yrs. of service in 2011.
She has been a parishioner of St. Robert Catholic Church since 1965. A member of the St. Robert church Legión of Mary ,Health Ministry and Alter Care. She liked to travel took a cruise to Alaska, made a pilgrimage with Fr. Arnold and other church members to visit our Lady Of Fatima in Portugal, Our Lady of Lourdes in France and to see Our Lady of Guadalupe in Mexico.
She is predeceased by her parents María de Lourdes and Vincent Morales and brother Augustine M. (Mike) Morales. Survived by her siblings Dolores S Morales, Hortencia O.Morales, María L. Magaña (Chico) , John F. Morales (Linda), Cecilia E. Standfield (Loren) niece Angelina M. Hammon great niece Miranda Mutchler all from Sacramento, California and many many cousins in San Antonio and other parts of Texas.
We would like to express our gratitude to Robert ,American Home Care, Monica and Angela for their excellent assistance in Josie’s care. Dr. Gong and to all of Kaiser South Hospice Group . Josie was a gentle, kind and loving soul always putting others before herself. SHE WILL BE missed by all who knew and loved her. R.I.P.
