I want to extend my deepest gratitude to all of you who knew my parents. Your support, love, and shared memories have been a great comfort during this time. Each and every one  of you played an important role in their lives, and your kindness has made a significant difference for us. Thank you for honoring my parents memory and for being a part of their journey.

The Omoto family in Sacramento sends our prayers and love to the family on the passing of Joe.  My sons - Jason, Robert and son-in-law Jon Von Hoffman - were friends with Joe's sons in high school and college, playing together in sports - especially baseball.  I would always enjoy hanging out with Joe and Nancy at the baseball games and practices - and team get togethers over the years - or seeing them at our local supermarket. They were part of the joy and happiness that we all remember from those times that will always be a part of our lives forever. We were so saddened when Nancy passed - and now we feel the same sense of loss and sadness with Joe's passing. We hope Joey and Chris - and the rest of the family - will be comforted now and forever of how much their mom and dad meant and will always mean to all of us. Joe Guitierrez, JG, as I would often call him... and at times, even Uncle Joe!  
It's almost too difficult to find the words, however, I'll begin with this -Joe has always bragged and often spoke highly about his family, his loving wife Nancy, his two sons, Joe Jr and Chris, but most of all his two grandkids, Jaelin and the youngest of the two, Deakin!
To the Guitierrez family, Carmen, Gabby and I are indeed truly sorry for your loss; you're father, father-in-law and grandfather, was a good man!
Since our joining the St Mary parish in 2012, my family and I have so, so, many fond memories of Joe throughout the years, from the SMS Golf Tournament, the occasional round of golf, where the Holy Bowl: CBS & JHS athletics, wins and losses, would certainly become the contested topic of our conversation -which then was often followed by, "not too bad for an old guy," after hitting one right down the middle; to matters of caring for a loved one, the endless conversations doting over Jaelin & Deakin, and of course the endless service to the St Mary and CBS communities!
Sunday, 8a mass at St Mary Parish, for many, will never be the same... Liturgical Ministries Coordinator for ushers, a dedicated usher himself,  the Offertory for 8a mass; the often nod and smirk during mass when he should be paying close attention, and let's not forget, his needing to rush home following mass to take the grandkids donuts on Sunday morning!
I recall several times when Gabby and I would often take full advantage on Sunday mornings to celebrate his birthday or even "dress" his car up following a loss...  just to see the smile on his face and his joy of friendship!  Truly, Joe Guitierrez was an example for us all. 
Uncle Joe, thank you for being a dear friend to my family and I; and most importantly, to your family and extended family, our most deepest condolences.  May you forever rest in eternal peace.

Joe was an Awesome grandfather who did anything for them. My wife Laura and I live across the street from his son Chris and Kat and there was rarely a day he did not pick them up to take them to school, bring them home, take them to an athletic practice, or bring them donuts after church every Sunday morning.  He was a big Niner Fan (Season Tickets).  I am a BIG Raider fan so during the season we always had conversations on Mondays about Sunday's outcomes.  Of course, I usually had to bow down to him, but I always enjoyed him give me a hard time about the Raiders. He will be missed, and our prayers go out to him and his very special family.    Rest In Peace Joe...we will miss you, but you will never be forgotten

Joe was a shining light at St. Mary’s School.  Many years ago, I would walk onto the school campus and see Joe smiling.  He had such a welcoming personality.   We would chat about life and I always appreciated him for being a grandfather helping out with his family.  
You made an impact in so many lives.  
Rest in peace Joe!   Praying for you and your family.

Our condolences to all of Joe's family. I met Joe at Natomas Youth Baseball when our grandkids played ball with Joe's grandkids. Your dad always approached me me with a warm smile and a firm handshake. We didn't see Joe or his family during the covid crisis and just recently reconnected with Joe, Chris, Kat and the boys through the DSA summer league. It was a pleasure to know your father and it was obvious how he felt about his family and grandson's.
