Katherine Mary Pieretti

PIERETTI, Katherine Munizich 'Kay'Born on April 22, 1917, in Sacramento to Nikola Munizich and Marica Carusa Munizich. She was called to eternal life on April 1, 2014. Kay was the youngest of seven children: Tony, Joseph, Nick, and George Munizich, Lottie Mikacich and Minnie Marshan (all deceased). Kay purchased her own beauty salon and was very successful until Leo Pieretti (deceased), wooed her away to be his wife. They were blessed with a daughter, Theresa, who married Joey Anticevich, Jr. They gave Katherine two wonderful grandchildren, Marisa, 23 years old and Luka, 12 years old.Kay and her husband spent many wonderful times as members of the St. Marys Social Club, where they served as officers and eventually, president. Kay was a past president and member of the Ameltha Club and the Ljubica Club. She also enjoyed participating in the Slavic Ladies Social Club, and the American Slavic Hall Social Club, where she was a trustee for many years. Kay later moved to Riverside to live with her daughter and family, where she enjoyed a full life, while still keeping in contact with her loved ones and friends in Sacramento. Memorial Service will be held St. Mary's Catholic Church, Friday, April 11, at 1:30 pm.
