Louise Catherine Hanagan

Passed away on November 2, 2013 with family at bedside. Attended St. Francis Elementary and St. Joseph’s Academy. Married Walter J. Hanagan on June 1, 1947 in Sacramento and raised 3 children. Preceded in death by her parents and husband of 54 years. She is survived by her children: Mary Barbara Myers (William) of Michigan, Walter F. Hanagan of Sacramento, and John Hanagan (Irma) of Folsom; brother: Eugene G. Kunz and family of Sacramento; grandchildren: Joseph Hanagan of San Jose, James Hanagan of Folsom, Angela Henry (Brad) and Lynsay Lee (Brandon) of Michigan; great-grandchildren: Carson and Austin Lee and Brynleigh Henry of Michigan; and numerous nieces and nephews. She will be remembered for her kind and affable personality, love of family, infectious laugh, and strong faith. Resident of The California Carehomes in Elk Grove since 2006, the family wishes to acknowledge the wonderful care and kindness she received from The Descargar Family and staff. Additionally, the family wishes to express gratitude to the devoted medical staff at Methodist Hospital. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to The Alzheimer’s Association. A Rosary and celebration of life service will be held on Friday, 11/15, at 7pm, viewing from 4-7pm, at Nicoletti, Culjis & Herberger Funeral Home, 5401 Folsom Blvd, Sacramento. Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, 11/16, at 11am at St Francis Church, 26th & K St, Sacramento, followed by interment at St Mary’s Cemetery.
