Born on May 2, 1939 in Portugal and passed away on December 27, 2014. She is survived by her husband, Felismino Almeida; daughter, Gracie Almeida-Chen; and grandson, James Chen. Married for 46 years, her life was dedicated to family and various charitable organizations. Maria was an active member of Saint Elizabeth’s Church, St. Anthony’s Church, and the Portuguese community.
Family & friends are invited to a Viewing, Monday, January 5th from 5-7 pm, followed by a Rosary at 7 pm at Nicoletti, Culjis, & Herberger Funeral Home, 5401 Folsom Blvd, Sacramento.
Funeral Mass, Tuesday, January 6th at 10 am at St. Joseph Chapel at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery, followed by committal service at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery, 6700 21st Ave, Sacramento.
