Just walking through the cemetary to visit my dad when I happened upon the beautiful poem on the back of your stone. Merry Christmas 2018. 
It helps to remember how precious life is. 

I met Marissa several years ago when we both worked at Amazing Tans. I hadn't seen her since February, and only found out yesterday that she had passed away. I'm having the hardest time comprehending that this could have happened. I tried to get in touch with her a few times over the summer, thinking she might be in town, and tried again to make plans to get together this past week thinking she would have just graduated. I can't believe I found out this way, 8 months later. 
Marissa had a way of making it feel like we were very best friends, no matter how long we went between visits or phone calls. I didn't think much of it when we hadn't talked this summer, since we only saw eachother every several months anyway, but to think I was trying to text her when she was already gone is heartbreaking. I am just devastated, and I regret immensely that I did not take the time to stay in closer contact with her when she was here. I guess since we were both working and in school, I always figured there would be time to catch up later on. 
My heart goes out to you, Kathy & Marty. Your daughter is truly one of the most beautiful, kind, smart and charismatic people I have ever known. I cannot even begin to comprehend how difficult this must be for you. 
I'll be keeping you in my thoughts & prayers.

I wrote a long letter to you to express my sympathy. I knew Marissa from St. Mary school.  My daughter is Tracy Schwartz.  We lost our son Steven on October 13th and we understand and feel your pain.

Just a few conversations with Marissa and her beauty was apparently inside and out.  She will be deeply missed.  Gods plans for such beautiful creatures are cut too short but we must believe she will become something greater deep in the heavens.  Through death there are many lessons to learn, it is knowing which road to take from heart ache.

Marissa was a beautiful person, inside and out.  She was a wonderful friend and will be missed by so many.

Marissa was one of the most beautiful people I have ever met, both inside and out. Her smile and laughter were contagious and she was a friend to all.
