Nancy Margaret Horat

Born in Sacramento, CA on March 4, 1928, she was the daughter of Vera and Egisto Ceragioli. She is preceded in death by her husband Martin Horat.

Nancy was a stranger to awkward silence, never backed down from telling a good story, and captivated the imaginations of family and friends during every visit. She filled the room with her feisty enthusiasm and never-ending optimism.

She is survived by her son Gary Horat; two granddaughters, who lovingly referred to her as “Nonie”, Melissa (Angel) Penilla and Sara (Destin) Corbett; and one great-grandson Owen Corbett.

She unconditionally loved her family, her church and…getting her hair done, more than anything and wasn’t afraid to let you know. She will be greatly missed.

Friends and family are invited to a viewing on Thursday, October 20, 2016 from 5-7pm at Nicoletti, Culjis & Herberger Funeral Home, 5401 Folsom Boulevard, Sacramento. Rosary and Funeral Services will be held Friday, October 21st at 11am at St. Mary’s Cemetery in St. Joseph’s Chapel, 6509 Fruitridge Road, Sacramento. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Nancy’s most charitable organization.
