He is survived by his mother Heidi Schroeder, father Dustin Carey, step-mother Terie Carey, brothers Chris, Zac and Ben, grandparents George and Bee Carey, family, loved ones and a multitude of friends.
Nic will forever be remembered for his vibrant and witty personality. He loved to play football and basketball. He was a loyal friend who had no hesitation to protect his own. Through all his ups and downs he was just a guy trying to put a smile on someone’s face. He was loved by many and will be missed dearly.
