Aged 94 years. Passed away in Sacramento on December 23, 2015. Beloved husband of the late Rosalie Gerich. Loving father of Judith Hagen and Mark Gerich and son-in-law James Hagen. Preceded in death by brother Steve Gerich and sisters Eleanor Kohler and Millie Lombardi. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Born in Globe, Arizona in 1921 and was an 84 year resident of Sacramento, California. A veteran of WWII, serving with the United States Navy as a Pharmacist Mate in the Asiatic-Pacific. Was employed by Borden’s Dairy early in his career. He retired from the Sacramento City Fire Department (Local 522) after 28 years of service. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Fire Fighters Burn Institute, 3101 Stockton Blvd.
