Ralph "Rudy" Fernandez

Fernandez, Ralph “Rudy” our brave, kind-hearted friend and relative passed away quietly with his partner by his side on February 2, 2014 at the age of 78. Rudy was born on March 27, 1935 in Los Banos, CA to Reynaldo and Cruz. He spent most of his life in Sacramento, except for 2 years that he spent stationed in Japan with the US Army. Rudy retired from the State of California in 1997 after 37 years as a Program Technician with the Department of Justice. Rudy is predeceased by his parents, his two brothers, Santos and Abelardo; and two sisters, Elvira and Fermina. He is survived by his loving and devoted partner of 43 years, Ted Olsen; and his sister, Mary. A special thanks to the always helpful Dennis Bartholomew. Rudy will be deeply missed by the many who had the good fortune to know him.

A visitation for friends and family will be held on Saturday, February 8 at Nicoletti, Culjis & Herberger Funeral Home, 5401 Folsom Blvd in Sacramento from 4:00pm – 8:00pm.
