Ray was my Dorm Director at the University of Michigan starting in 1963, and became a life-long friend.

With a PhD in Nuclear Engineering, he could easily explain concepts to the least scientific of us.

I was able to visit him a few time in Sacramento...being from Michigan, that was a long trip.  

We had a memorabe dinner together in San Francisco the last time I saw him many years ago.  He was as kind as he was brilliant, and that great laugh of his lit up a room:

Ray and I exchanged Christmas cards for over 50 years, so I sensed something was wrong when I did not receive one from him this Christmas.

Rest in Peace, Ray.  You were special.  Really special.

Just found out about Ramon's passing and am very sad to learn of this.  I am Mary Ann Lasecki,  Ramon's cousin from Michigan, where we grew up together.  We kept in touch by phone and mail several times a year and was not aware of any concerns during our last conversation.  I am reaching out to the people who took care of his arrangements to contact me by email:  jathompson44@msn.com   I would like to know some details about his death and where he is buried so that I may have some closure.  We were from a very small family and there are only a few family members left.  

So sad to learn of Ramon's passing. I hope who ever made the final arrangements would get in touch with me. I am Ramon's cousin from Michigan and would like to know some details about his death and burial.
