Reynold Devin Westrup

Reynold Devin Westrup passed away peacefully in Orangevale, California on July 14, 2026 at the age of 63. Reynold is survived by his brother Roger (Vickie), his sister Rochell, and his sister Raena (John), fourteen nieces and nephews, and eighteen grandnieces and nephews with a new grandnephew expected in August. He was preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Rose-Marie Westrup and a niece, Reagan Ellis Westrup, all of Sacramento.

Reynold was born on March 25, 1963, in Sacramento, California to Richard and Rose-Marie Westrup. After an unexpected allergic reaction to a DPT shot, he experienced a high fever and brain bleeding which resulted in the onset of Cerebral Palsy. He graduated from the Sacramento County Special Education Program and then participated in many adult education programs.

He had a sweet disposition and was loved by all who met him.

A celebration of life and a private funeral service will be held later this month. The family would like to thank the medical and dental professionals that attended Reynold over the years. The family would also like to express their deepest gratitude to the owners and staff of the Sunbeam-Barrios Care Home in Orangevale, California for the eighteen years of loving care they provided Reynold.
