You were never my manager but always my friend.  You kept me on my toes.  You will be missed.  My condolences to your family and sweet Rachel

Richard was a great person and will be missed by many. I will miss his bright smile and rosey cheeks My prayers go out to his family and love ones during this hard time. May Richard rest in peace.

Richard and I worked together at two different facilities,Sutter VNA and The AACC. He was always a pleasure to be around and had a great attitude,never sweat the small stuff. He always asked my opinion and he always genuinely seemed to want to hear it.He was a beautiful soul and am so sorry to for your loss.

Oh Richard, I will miss you so much! You will always be in my heart, and I smile when I remember your laugh. I know you are at peace now. I feel so fortunate to have spent so many wonderful times with you. I love you, Uncle Richard!

I wanted to thank everyone who attended Richard's Celebration of Life and those of you who could not but were there in spirit.  Thank you for the love, comfort, and support you have provided myself and our familys through this difficult time.  There was so much love and comfort in that room and I thank you so much, I feel honored, humbled, and blessed to have so many loved ones thinking, praying, and reaching out to us and I know I can speak for Richard too! I also wanted to express my gratitude to whomever posted the beautiful pictures of the Celebration here in the guest book. They are beautiful and it will help those who where not able to attend to see them and feel as though they were a part of it as well. So whoever you are thank you so much and I would love if you would reach out to me and email those photos to me.  Again my deepest heartfelt thank you to you all!

In a high school filled with smart and funny kids, Richard was probably the smartest and funniest.  Richard set such a high bar that even out of high school, few could equal his incredibly quick wit. He made his friend's lives funnier and richer.  I would like to thank all of his family and friends who helped nurture him and made it possible for us to enjoy the incredible Richard Burrell in our lives.

Please accept condolences. Richard was a complicated and genuine person. I am so sorry that he is gone so soon from this life. Be at peace with God.

Rachel, I just heard about Richard. I am so saddened by this news. I was unaware of the service but I am sure you all did a great job. I want to give my condolences to you and Richard's family. I worked closely with him for 3-4 years. Enjoyed his smile and laughs. Even though I transferred to another location I thought of Richard often. You will be missed my dear friend.

Attendind the Celebration of Life for Richard last evening was very reassuring and comforting. There was a lot of warmth and love surrounding Rachel and Richard's family.

Richard I have and will miss you dearly. You left too soon to see and guide me on the pathway you helped move me towards. You were my only manager at the call center for four good years. We sat next to each other most of those years and had time to share your travels, love of good food and staying in shape. Richard thank you for seeing something in me that I was hesitant to see in myself a leader.  I will never forget your encouragement to join the management team and your leadership to make sure I was successful. When I take my trip to Costa Rica I will smile and think of you.

I know there will be a multitude of people, including myself, who will miss Richard and who are blessed for knowing him in this life. He was my manager at the Kaiser Call Center, but in many ways reminded me of a brother with great smiles, a confidant I trusted and respected. His quick,spot on intellect as a nursing professional along with his good-hearted nature, honesty, and sincerity are attributes I will honor in his memory. Thank You, Richard. Rest in love and peace.

I felt as if I had changed careers when I came to the Call Center to become an advice nurse--I shall always appreciate the support and reassurance Richard gave me. Sometimes he would come over to my desk and compliment me on a call, when I hadn't even realized he had been noticing my conversation. I just can't express how sad I am that Richard has left us too soon, and I am doubly grieving for Rachel's loss. I could always tell that Richard had such high regard for his family, his career, and a deep love for Rachel. Richard, you are missed...

We who knew Richard from his recent employment as a nurse manager for kaiser are saddened by the news of his passing.we wish to express our love and concern for his family,friends and also his sweetheart,,Rachel,who will have lost someone very dear to her.our hearts are loving to them!

Working with Richard and Patty at Sutter General was always a joy.  I'm saddened by Richard's passing and knowing he's no longer sharing his enthusiasm and happiness here on earth.

What can I say is it is an honor to have been in  your life.  You are such a kind and gentle soul. I'm so happy to have seen you meet Rachel and I got to be an onlooker in your relationship. we will miss you very much.

I saw a card that said perhaps stars are our loved ones in Heaven shining down to let us know they are with us.  I liked it.  I hope you who read this do too. Richard, you were my favorite person at the Call Center! You were the best manager, and you were always so encouraging. I really valued the kind and positive words you always had for me. You could always make me smile and laugh  no matter what was going on. I felt like you were my protector at work. I really enjoyed seeing you buzz around work getting things done.  I missed you when you left, and I'll miss you forever. You were a very special guy, and I'll think of you as my friend forever.

Our hearts are filled with sorrow, but we hope you will find peace which comes from the memories of love shared.  May those memories comfort you now and in the days ahead.

We shared many wonderful nights with Richard on our boat in San Francisco. We laughed, told stories, solved world problems and he loved being on the boat as much as I did. He was my buddy and I will miss him.
