Richard Dennis Cisneros
February 14, 1945 – October 9, 2021
Richard Cisneros, 76, of Sacramento, California, succumbed to his heroic battle with cancer on Saturday, October 9, 2021. He went peacefully at home surrounded by his family.
Richard was preceded in death by his parents, Manual & Sarah, and his sister Arlene (John).
Richard is survived by his loving wife Janet; daughters, Denise (Dylan), Michelle (Darren), and son Justin (Heather). He also leaves behind his loving grandchildren, Austin (Lindsey), Sonoma, Malina, Kya, Amanda, Izzi, Sean Patrick, Morgan, Trenton, Hailey, and great-granddaughter Emilia (Emi-James). Richard will also be greatly missed by his nephew John (Darla), along with numerous other family members and lifelong friends.
Richard was an educator in Sacramento for over 40 years and took great pride in ensuring that all his students left his classroom with the skills and knowledge needed for happy and productive lives. He was also an artist that inspired so many people to explore their creativity and passion for life. In his spare time Richard would enjoy spending time with family, being outdoors on his boat, bowling, camping, geocaching, riding his quad and sitting on the beach.
Inurnment services are private, a celebration of life will be announced at a later date. I lieu of customary remembrances the family suggest donations in his name be made to The American Cancer Society: www.cancer.org.
