I met this young man once in my life. I was 14 my family was on a disastrous  trip to Redding to go camping. I was miserable and decided to sneak out to go watch the moon on the water. This unique boy wandered over and was talking to me. We ran around the whole campground for hours. We stole a walkie talkie set from a nearby campsite and just messed around playing and having the best time. Hebfelt guilty after a few hours and snuck back over and put the talkies back. We sat on the waters edge talking until dawn. I felt like he was my best friend and I had known him my whole life. We exchanged phone numbers but that was before unlimited long-distance! We talked a few times but I got into trouble for running up the phone bill and i'm sure he did, too. I ran away from home and lost contact with him.  I spent the last 25+ yrs looking for him. This is heartbreaking  for me. I never got to tell him how important that night was for me. He changed my life. He was such an amazing person. Its absolutely devastating we didnt get to reconnect. RIP my dear friend. Im sorry I was to late.
