

Passed away on March 28, 2012. Born on February 22, 1927 in Blytheville, Arkansas. Roy's parents, Mabel and Glenn, moved the family to California in late 1928. The family ultimately settled in Sacramento, where Roy attended schools in the Sacramento Unified School District. Roy joined the Navy at 17 and served in WWII as well as the Korean War. He loved his home and passionately loved his Country. He loved to walk and make lots of friends in the neighborhoods in which he lived.
Roy was preceded in death by his wife of 38 years, Twila "Jean", as well as his sisters Louise Radwan and Joan Redding. Roy is survived by his daughters Deborah Pritchard, Teresa Flowers, Janet Young, Karen Valdez (Harold), and Debra Pritchard, as well as sisters Edith Newland, Dovie Armstrong (Chuck), and Bernice Vierra (Frank). Roy also leaves behind seven grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews who all loved him.
In lieu of flowers, the family would request a donation be made to the American Cancer Society . A Celebration of Life service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on April 5, 2012, at the Harry A. Nauman & Son Chapel, 4041 Freeport Boulevard, Sacramento.
