

Stephen is survived by his wife Theresa Persic and three sisters, Joan, Therese, and Mary. Loving husband, father, brother, son, cousin, uncle, and friend.
Stephen was born on 3/5/1942 in Placerville, California to Stephen and Malinda Persic. He graduated high school from Christian Brothers and went on to Sacramento State University where he earned a BA in Business. After graduating college, he joined the Marine Corps. Upon returning from the Marines, he went to work for his father at Perkins Lumber and eventually became the sole proprietor of the family business after his father retired. Stephen spent years helping businesses and homeowners figure out what was needed for a job or create plans to improve their homes.
After Perkins Lumber, he went on to work at Home Depot where his skills were highly valued.
Stephen loved the ocean and fishing. He spent much of his spare time in the Dillon Beach/Bodega area where his family has a beach home. Stephen loved to salmon fish and kept his boat at Lawsons Landing for many years.
Stephen was very outgoing and personable. Wherever he went he could make a friend, and he was kind and generous to those he knew.
A rosary is scheduled for August 11th. At 6:00 PM at Nicoletti, Culjis & Herberger Funeral Home 5401 Folsom Blvd, Sacramento, CA 95819, with a reception to follow there.
