OBITUARY
Steven Edward Coley
March 23, 1959 – December 1, 2012
Steven Coley, 53, of Sacramento passed away December 1, 2012 after a long battle with an illness. His friends and family were by his side when he left to be with the Lord. He was born to Paul Edward and Yuriko Coley in Chiba, Japan on March 23, 1959. Steve graduated from Hiram Johnson High School in 1977 and attended American River College. Steve will be missed and remembered for his wit and keen sense of humor. His life would seem too short to many, but those who were touched by him understood that the quality of existence far exceeds the quantity of time in which one lives. He also enjoyed fishing, and was an avid Nascar fan. Steve leaves behind a son, Steven Paul Coley; his parents, Paul and Yuriko Coley; two sisters, Kyoko Thomas (Nate) and Amiko Stallworth (Darrell); a brother, Robert Coley (Marsha); and a cousin, Duane Knight. He also leaves behind several loving aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, December 6 at 4 p.m.at Nicoletti, Culjis & Herberger Funeral Home. 5401 Folsom Blvd., 95819. Please share memories of Steven and celebrate his life!

Mr, & Mrs. Coley, Amiko, Bobby & Kyoko... It took me so long to write this because I couldn't think of words. I am so sorry for the loss of Steven, words cannot even explain. Steven was a very wonderful person and his "A-HA" laugh will never be forgotten. It's easy for me to say, but stay strong through each other through these next few weeks. Through God's spirit we all seem to make it through the most difficult of times. Keep Steven's memories in your hearts and in your minds. I know I will. You family is in our prayers.

Steve I love you and I will miss you..
My thoughts and prayers go out to the Coley Family... My fondest memory that I have of Steve, that will remain with me forever, was years back when I was still in the Army Reserves. I had to report to my two week training and had no one to care for my Son Eric in my absence. He was an infant at that time and is now 31. Steve stepped up and said "Don't worry Trina ill do it".. and he did. He took good care of Eric for two weeks and quickly handed him over upon my return..(smile). I was forever grateful for that.. Such a wonderful man with a big heart.. May you Rest in Peace my dear... Katrina Rood "TRINA"

I've known Steve since we were young. He was always such a good guy, a true gentleman with a big heart. I last saw him close to two years ago before we were about to have the first Lincoln Village Reunion. We chatted about many things and he, as always had that big smile on his face and we laughed about old times. I will truly miss Steve but I know he's smiling down on all of his family and friends as he's singing with the Angels above. I thank God for allowing me the opportunity to have met and get to know this brother. I will forever lift up his family in prayer.

My sincere condolences to the Coley family. Steve was a great friend to all his smile touched. I am still at a loss for words because our freindship lasted over 35 years. I know he is sitting on the bank, fishing with Tracy and God is watching over them. RIP my dear friend.
