Timothy Lee Talmadge

April 4, 1964January 1, 2020

Tim was born at American River Hospital in Carmichael, he went to Fair Oaks elementary school then spent 2 years at Hazel Ave. Christian School. During his elementary years he was in the Fair Oaks Starlet’s Drum and Baton Corp. He graduated from Bella Vista High. Through the years the Talmadge family spent many vacations camping and fishing, going to church every Sunday and fellowship with friends from church. Terri has fond memories of Tim fishing when he was 2 years old, hitting the water with his fishing pole, trying to catch a fish. After graduating he got jobs working with cars, car parts stores and then he worked at the Homestead of Fair Oaks. Tim continued to work on cars, learning everything from his Dad, Roland. Later he got into CB radio and met a lot of friends. Tim also went to Baking school, he loved to bake and cook, that was a passion of his. In 1997, he married Denise and helped raise her 2 sons, Kenny and Matthew, he was a faithful husband. Denise and Tim lived in Carmichael until 2010. Our father passed away in 2010 so they moved into the Fair Oaks home with our mother, they became full-time care givers for Marlene who had Parkinson’s disease. Tim’s wife passed away in 2015 which was devastating for him. He continued to care for his mom until her passing in 2017. Tim moved in with his sister and discovered that he had Esophageal cancer in 2018. We thought that he had a hernia which was causing him pain, but it was cancer, stage 4. He fought that battle so hard and didn’t give up. He was a strong fighter until his body couldn’t take anymore. The day he passed he had called his beloved friends and they faithfully came to his side and prayed with them. His sister Terri was by his side until his last breath. He wanted to make it to the end of the year, and he did! He passed at 1am on New Years Day 2020. Tim was only 55 years old. He will be remembered as a loving and caring person and brother who could feel the pain of others in their troubled times. He wanted to live and that’s what he did in his life.He went through good times and many bad times, too many for one person but he always believed in God. He willbe missed greatly. Tim will be placed at Camellia Memorial Lawn at 10221 Jackson Rd, Sacramento, CA along with his grandparents, Lavern and Nellie Cornthwaite, and his great aunt Alice Schaffner. His parents Roland and Marlene Talmadge are placed at the Sacramento Valley National Cemetery 5810 Midway Rd, Dixon, CA.
