Tina and Esther

Sacramento residents, and former long-term Yuba-Sutter residents, Esther Zucco and Ernestine (Tina) Uribe-Barrera recently went home to Jesus. Esther passed away on August 23, 2021, and Tina passed shortly after on September 20, 2021, with their family by their sides.

Esther was born on October 25, 1927 in Texas. She was dedicated to the church and worked many years at Rideout Memorial Hospital in Marysville.

Tina was born on December 5, 1956 in California; she also loved attending church and spending time with family. Tina worked several years at the Employment Development Department, with the State of California.

Esther was survived by her daughter, Tina Uribe; her grandchildren, Nicole De La Riva, Jonathon Uribe, and Toby Alfred; and eight great-grandchildren.

Tina is survived by her husband, Salvador Gonzalez Barrera; her son, Toby Alfred; and her grandson, Isiah Alfred.

Esther and Tina were inseparable during life and are now together again. They loved going to yard sales and thrift stores, looking for jewelry and clothes. After a long day out, they loved lunch at McDonalds. Esther and Tina enjoyed the little things in life, and they will be missed greatly by family and friends.

Esther's service will be held at Crossroads Community Church, 455 B Street, Yuba City, CA, on October 29, 2021, at 11:00am.

Tina's service will be held at Nicoletti, Culjis & Herberger Funeral Home, 5401 Folsom Blvd., Sacramento, CA, 95819, on Friday, November 5, 2021, at 1:00pm.
