Vera Vollenweider, born on June 3, 1917 in Piana Dei Greci, Italy, passed away peacefully on November 6, 2013 in Sacramento. Preceded in death by her husband Emil Vollenweider, her parents, two brothers and one sister. She is survived by her sister Eleanor Moore of West Sacramento, brother Paul Casimiro of Roseville and numerous nieces and nephews. Vera worked at McClellan AFB as Dept of Accounting & Finance Officer for 30 years. She then joined Sr. Gleaners as a volunteer and worked there for the next 30 years. Vera loved reading & travel, went to China, Russia, Africa and Europe, especially Switzerland to visit her husband’s family. Private services to be held at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her honor to the Senior Gleaners.
