Wilma Jewel Thompson was born on the date of March 4, 1960 to her parents Willma Rea Thompson and Senttie Thompson Sr., in Prentiss, Mississippi to reside with her older siblings Arnathan Thompson, Archie Lewish Thompson and Senttie Thompson, Jr. (whom is now gone home but not forgotten)
Wilma Jewel's Legacy will be carried on by her son, Mario Marcellis Keanon, Sr. and her daughter Sequoia Samella Renee Woods. Wilma Jewel has 6 grandchildren; Mia Keanon, Mario Keanon, II, Jordan Keanon, Zaniya Keanon, Samaya Woods and MeAsiah Pickens.
Wilma Jewel is survived by her loving siblings Archie Lewis Thompson, Arnathan Thompson, Alfreda Onimo, Gloria Shepherd, Alberta Thompson-Nettles and Brenda Dillon-Rupert as well as Wilma Jewel's loving niece Patricia Rea Thompson-Hill, her nephew Anton Thompson, her loving great nieces Kiyah Hill, Ameina Hill, and her loving great nephew, Myvron McKnight.
Wilma Jewel was a very ambitious woman of whom graduated from High School at the young age of 17. She moved out with the assistance of her mother because she was very responsible and gainfully employed with the State of California. Wilma Jewel retired as a State Processor after 30 years of service.
Upon the passing of Wilma Jewel's Mother WIllma Rea Thompson, Wilma Jewel became the Matriarch of her family. Every holiday the family gathered at her home for her delicious soulful dishes. There was plenty of laughter and lots of love. Everybody always left with a to go plate. Wilma Jewel was well traveled and encouraged her family and friends to join her. She was always a joy to be around and her beautiful memories will last a Lifetime.
