Yachai Chaingpanapan McCarthy

Yachai C McCarthy, of Sacramento, CA. Passed away on November 20, 2021. She was born in Bangkok, Thailand on November 2, 1946. Yachai graduated from Woodbury University and received a Bachelors in Business. She was married to David J McCarthy on May 29, 1976. Yachai had a career in Banking with Security Pacific National Bank. She was a member of St. Mary Parish, Christian Mothers, Centering Prayer Group, Divine Mercy Cenacle and Brandywine River Museum volunteer group and had a passion for gardening, cooking, reading and contemplative prayer. She was preceded in death by her parents – Father, Chang Ming Kuang; Mother, Eu Mui and her sister, Yajit Lertsathitphongs. She is survived by; her sons, Michael McCarthy (Jessie) and Andrew McCarthy (Lin Lin); Grandchildren, Dylan McCarthy and Sophia McCarthy; Sisters, Thanaporn, Taneecha, Supakporn, Krisamon, Wilaipon and Brother, Chareon. Funeral services will be held on December 15, 10AM at St. Mary Church, 1333 58th St, Sacramento, with a light luncheon to follow at Nicoletti Funeral Home, 5401 Folsom Blvd, Sacramento. Memorial services will be held in January 2022 at St. Pius X Church, Broomall, PA with a time and date to be announced. She was sweet, kind and always put others before herself, even when she was ill. As a convert to Catholicism in 1988, she shared her love of the Faith quietly and lovingly with others.
