Doug was a great man and role model in my life. He was the kind of man that would give you the shirt off his back if he felt like you were in need. He had a heart of gold and work ethic unlike anyone. Doug was able to fix just about anything, he would put the work in motion and stop when it was done. I called Doug more times than I can count for help when working on my vehicles growing up, sometimes several times a day depending on what the issue was. He was always there for advice and would usually narrow it down to two things it could be and would say “just start with the easiest”. Doug was always there when anyone needed him with open arms because thats the kind of man he was and liked helping others. He will be in my thoughts always and forever missed.

Doug was my lifelong friend. I've known him literally all of my life. His smile would light up a room and you could always count on him for a laugh. Rest easy now my friend, you are no longer in pain. Love always my brother from another mother you will be deeply missed.

Doug was always kind and his smile was a bright spot in everyones day. I remember him getting his hand slapped with a ruler in 6th grade because he took the blame for talking, when it was me talking to him. I will always hold him in my heart, you never forget your first love!
Praying for peace and comfort for those that loved him.
