OBITUARY

Eunasha Chi-Khann Keeney

January 2, 1985March 31, 2019

On the morning of March 31, 2019, Eunasha Jenkins Keeney, age 34, passed away peacefully at home after complications from a recently diagnosed cardiac condition.

She is survived by her husband, David Keeney; daughter, Hera-Sophia Keeney; father, John Jenkins; brother, Marcus Jenkins; aunt, Marsha Holmes; father and mother in-law David and Mary Keeney; and close friends, Steven Tankersley, Natalie Laake, and Raquel Young.

Her mother Nancy Adams preceded her in death.

Eunasha was employed as a Puller at Napa Distribution Center in Nitro, WV. She was most proud of her work as an Assistant Surveyor for Brayman Construction; specifically, in the building of the I–64 bridge between Dunbar and South Charleston. ‘Nasha’, as she was known to family and friends, was an unpretentious, non–materialistic free spirit who spoke her mind and always had a quick, witty comeback. She loved hard and put all of her energy into things that meant the most to her. Her commitment to living her life on her own terms was evident from the moment you met her and she proudly walked to the beat of her own drum. She possessed a wisdom beyond her years and this drew many people to her. Her life was like the art she created – spontaneous, complex, meaningful, and passionate. She was known for her love of photography, poetry, and family; and also for her role as a wife, sister, niece, daughter, friend, and most importantly, a mother. She was involved in every aspect of raising her daughter, Hera–Sophia, and passed onto her the same compassionate and creative spirit that she possessed. Nasha cherished and loved her daughter in such a way that words can’t come close to defining it. She made sure to instill in her daughter a love of music, photography, painting, the outdoors, and all living creatures. She taught her daughter to have a zealousness and a curiosity for life that will forever be present. Most importantly, she taught her daughter how to love and how to be loved.

Celebration of Euasha’s life will be 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, April 3, 2019 at Casdoprh & Curry Funeral Home. Gathering of family and friends will be from 12 until time of service at the funeral home.

I worked with eunasha at Tim Horton’s in Saint Albans, she was such a wonderful person, she was always smiling. It brakes my heart to hear about her passing at such a young age,but I know that she has touched life’s like she did mine. We didn’t keep In touch after I left Tim Horton’s,but I just wanted to say that she was a beautiful soul and beautiful person. So sorry for you loss. Your family is in my prayers

My family and I send our deepest condolences. Eunasha was a very sweet and kind hearted person that we all at Napa had the pleasure of being around. I cannot imagine what that baby girl is going through and it breaks my heart. My wife and I would be more than happy to bring our daughter to the park and keep her company during this difficult time. Anything we can do to help please let me know.
