Paul Thomas "PT" Riggan II, 34, of St. Albans, passed away Tuesday, March 13, 2018. Paul Thomas was a good, kind, gentle soul. He was a loving son, brother, uncle, nephew and friend to many. He had a smile that could light up a room and a laugh that was contagious. He had such a big personality and was so much fun to be around. Paul was so proud of his niece, Samyah Anne, and his nephews, Kayden and Zayden. He loved them very much and truly was the best uncle anyone could ask for. He never met a stranger and will be sadly missed by all that were blessed to know him. Paul was a WVSSAC Registered Basketball Official, AAU Youth Basketball Coach, Youth Little League Umpire and a member of the Bricklayers Union. He loved all sports, but most of all, he was an avid WVU Mountaineers fan. He touched so many lives through his love of youth sports. In school, he played baseball, football, soccer and basketball for St. Albans High. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Robert Lee Sr. and Patricia Samms, and paternal grandparents, Pete and Flo Riggan. Paul is survived by his parents, Paul and Linda Riggan; brother, Brett Riggan; sister, Susan Riggan; uncles, Bobby (Pam) Samms, Ken (Shelia) Samms and Steve Samms; aunt, Tondra Hagerty; niece, Samyah, and nephews, Kayden and Zayden; and many cousins. Celebration of PT's life will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 21, at Casdorph & Curry Funeral Home, with Pastor BJ Roberts officiating. Burial will follow in Cunningham Memorial Park, St. Albans. Gathering of family and friends will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
