Roy was a member of First Presbyterian Church in St. Albans for 56 years. He was retired from Monsanto Plant in Nitro with 35 years of service, a veteran of the United States Marine Corps., and a lifelong resident of St. Albans.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Ruth Burcham; daughter, Natina Witt; and brother, John Robert Rogers.
He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Rogers; son, Roy (Kathy) Rogers III, step-daughter, Lisa Edens of Scott Depot; step-son, Robert Shafer of Charleston; grandson, Justin Taylor Rogers; two step-grandchildren, Storm and Tori Edens.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, August 14, at First Presbyterian Church, St. Albans with Rev. Douglas Jenkins officiating. Burial will follow at Teays Hill Cemetery, St. Albans.
A visitation with family and friends will be held Monday, August 13, from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Casdorph & Curry 110 B St., St. Albans.
