Donna Jean Morris Hotchkiss

Donna Jean Hotchkiss, age 76 of Silex, Missouri passed away on Sunday, November 7, 2021. Donna was born on March 3, 1945 in St. Louis, Missouri. Donna is preceded in death by her parents Elroy and Edna (Hale) Morris, a sister Kay Wilson and a son in law Dan Simmons.

Donna leaves behind her husband, Richard Hotchkiss whom she was happily married to for 61 years, a sister Norma (Harvey) Perry, her loving children, Cathy Simmons and Rick (Kelly) Hotchkiss. Her beloved grandchildren, Myles and Kyle Hotchkiss, Shannon Helderle, Megan (Steve) Helton, 4 great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and many cousins.

Donna was a proud member of the Lincoln County Moose Lodge #2599, where she volunteered many hours serving meals and devoting her time where she was needed. She was no stranger to giving, before retiring, she worked as an activity therapist with mentally disabled children.

Donna and Richard enjoyed their love for Country Western music, they traveled on many occasions to Nashville, Tennessee and visited the Grand Ole Opry. It was rumor that she was a huge fan of Charlie Daniels.

A visitation for Donna will be held Thursday, November 11, 2021 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Alexander - White - Mullen Funeral Home, 11101 Saint Charles Rock Road, St. Ann, MO 63074. A funeral service will occur Friday, November 12, 2021 at 12:00 PM at Alexander - White - Mullen Funeral Home with burial immediately following the service at Mount Lebanon Cemetery, 11101 St Charles Rock Rd, Saint Ann, MO 63074.
