She is survived by children Judy M. Fuller and Karen D. Owen; grandchildren James G. Hudson II, John Hudson, Jennifer Hudson, Stephen Daniel Fuller, Jennifer L. Nelson and Samuel M. Fuller; great-grandchildren Trinity Hudson, Olivia Nelson, Sawyer Nelson, Marshall Nelson, Dillon Nelson, Josiah Luke Fuller, Faith E. Fuller and Elyssa Fuller; and a brother, Marshall D. Gipson. She was preceded in death by a son, James G. Hudson.
Dorothea was devoted to her family, famous for hosting pizza parties for her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. And she always had ice cream on hand for the kids whenever they visited. She was also known for her artistic talent. Dorothea enjoyed hand crafting greeting cards for her church members and she enjoyed drawing and sketching.
A funeral service will be held at 3 p.m., Sunday, July 6, 2014, at Alexander-White-Mullen Funeral Home, 11101 St. Charles Rock Road, St. Ann, Mo. 63074. Private interment will follow at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until the time of service.
