Gilbert Frank Froeschner

Gilbert F. Froeschner, age 96, of Ferguson, passed away as he lived, peacefully, at home in his sleep on September 7, 2017. He is the dear husband of the late Shirley (Long) Froeschner. Loving father of Keith (Dana) Froeschner, Kim (Lester) Turner and Kara O’Donnell. Grandfather of Casey (Kyle) Baros, Candace (Robert) Root, Mark Froeschner, Alex Turner, Matthew O’Donnell, and Chelsea O’Donnell; and great-grandfather of Carter Baros, Camdyn Baros, Henry Root, and Kolbie Faith Baros. He was preceded in by his siblings, Esther Muckenfuss, Ted, Herbert, Elmer & Louis.

Gilbert Froeschner’s family was always his number one priority. He loved his daughter- and son-in-laws just as much as his own kids. He was a kind and trusting man. People who met Dad would take an instant liking to him. He was loved by neighbors and friends, both locally and when he traveled to Texas. He was filled with love, and everyone could feel it.

A funeral service will be held at 11:45 am on Tuesday, September 12, 2017 at Alexander-White-Mullen 11101 St. Charles Rock Rd, St. Ann. Interment will follow at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery. Visitation is at the funeral home 4-8 pm Monday, September 11, 2017. In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated to the veterans' charity of your choice.
