I met Helen when I was a student nurse at Village North. I instantly fell in love with her. Many didn't even realize what a treasure she was and what an honor it was to meet such a strong woman like Helen Joyce. She shared her book with me about her childhood at the farm and even had given me some of her poems. I wrote poems to her too. That, along with playing piano is something we had in common. She told me the stories of her strength and powering through her disability. Helen will forever be special and inspiring to me. May she rest with the angels. I love my Helen Joyce.
