Beloved husband of 4 years to Clare Villacis; loving father of Maria Peralta, Ernie Villacis, Daniel (Rose) Villacis, and David Villacis; dear grandfather of 14 and great-grandfather of 7; dear brother of Isabel Villacis, Aida Huss, and Estella Peralta; and dear in-law to the Ballard and Matthews families, uncle great-uncle, cousin, and friend to many. He is preceded in death by his parents, Reinaldo and Rosa Villacis; his wife of over 48 years, Brenda Jo (Ballard) Villacis; and siblings, Herminia, Gloria, Teresa, and Luis.
Juan Villacis lived the American dream. He immigrated from Ecuador to the US in 1955, served 2 years in the US Army, and worked as a Federal employee for over 30 years. During retirement, he was an educator at both the North County Christian School of Missouri and at schools in Orange County, Florida. Juan lived all his life as a faithful Christian. He based decisions on his relationship with God through Christ, helped to build churches, ministered to shut-ins & to patients in the hospital, and was always charitable with his time, talents, and treasure.
Services: The family is being served by Alexander-White-Mullen Funeral Home, 11101 St. Charles Rock Rd, St. Ann, MO 63074, where visitation will be held on Tues, 4/10, from 4-8pm. Funeral service Wed, 4/11 at 10am at First Baptist Church of Ferguson, 333 N Florissant Rd, St. Louis, MO 63135. Interment Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery.
