

Laverne “Lee” Warning, 87, of Quincy, IL formerly of Ferguson, MO passed away peacefully on January 29, 2015 in Quincy, IL. She is preceded in death by her parents; her siblings; her beloved husband of 44 years, Ralph; and her son, Mark.
Lee is survived by her son, Paul (Lila) Warning of Quincy, IL; daughter, Anna (Terrence) Wandtke of Belvidere, IL; daughter-in-law, Camie Warning of Maryville, IL; grandchildren, Kyle, Ian, and Samuel Warning and Alexander Warning, Bella, Ripley, Griffin, Reuben Wandtke

Lee was a member of Immanuel UCC in Ferguson, MO where she passionately taught Sunday School for 30 years and the GRG Ladies who helped prepare luncheons in the church. She was a devoted wife and mother who was crazy about her grandchildren and loved to sing. She knew all the hymns! Lee was a natural caretaker who helped care for neighborhood children and for her parents and her husband’s parents in their final years. Her heart was big and she will be missed by her family and friends. The family would like to thank the staff at the Lewis County Nursing Home for their loving care.
Friends may visit on Tuesday, February 3, 2014 at Alexander-White-Mullen Funeral Home from 10 am until time of service at noon. Interment will follow at Friedens Cemetery.
