Raymond Marvin Jex, 73, passed away at home in Hazelwood, Missouri, on February 19, 2014. Raymond worked in information technology for McDonnell, McDonnell-Douglas, and Boeing. He was a scout, a member of American Legion Post 444, and a member of UMSL Alumni Association. His hobbies included leatherworking, woodworking, and photography.
He is preceded in death by his father Harold Andrew Jex; his mother Lorraine Marcella (nee Stone) Jex; his brother Wallace Jex; his father-in-law Louis Walton Jr; his mother in law Ferne (Al) (nee Begeman) Byers.
Raymond is survived by his wife Barbara (nee Walton) Jex; his daughters Nanette (Alan) Spangler, Heather (Larry) Kunz, Nancy (John) Bentley, and Missy Aubuchon; his grandchildren Bradley (fiancée Anna-Carolina Shreve) Spangler, Morgan (Brian) Norwood, Tommy Bentley, Samantha (partner Diana Regino) Daiber, Andrew Daiber, and Nicole Spangler; his great-grandchildren Bristol Norwood and Karoline Norwood; his sisters-in-law Darlene Jex and Jean Ann (Bert) Boedeker; his brothers-in-law Jack (Ina O’Donnell) Walton and Daniel (Tracy) Walton; his mother-in-law Mabel Walton; his best furry friend Bandit.
