Our friendship with Alex began on this fundraising walk in Downtown Miami many years ago. We became like a little family always looking out for eachother and being there for eachother. He showed what being a true friend looked like. I left Miami many years ago to return to Bermuda but friendships like those never fade. He will always live on in our hearts and in his beautiful family.

Alex was the youth pastor at our church. He had been asked to give a sermon as a guest speaker for the main service. He had finished Revelation with the youth group and was preparing to start again in Genesis. He spoke to us that day about how seamless the connection is between the 2 books, about the consistency of God’s character between Old Testament and New.  It changed how I understood the Bible. Every time I read through it I can see more connections… thank You Lord Jesus for the man Alex and a message that brought understanding. Tell him  Dennis and I say “hey”! See you soon Brother!

Gentle "Spiritual" Giant is how I would refer to Alex. So eager to serve others even when you thought you were there to serve him. He was the youth pastor for my kids and little did he know that he was pastoring me as well (Ha ha). Thank you God for Alex and Erin. Please provide peace, comfort and understanding to Erin and the kids as they move forward. I pray we all meet again soon in your presence in joy and in awe of the new understanding for what all this "was" about. I love you lord and thank you for Alex, please keep Erin and those four fruits, you gave them a wonderful example to follow and I trust they will bear fruit (John 15).

Oh Erin!  I’m so sorry to hear this for your family.  I pray God’s peace and provision in the days to come.  He was indeed a great man of God and I am sure he’s enjoying his Lord and Savior in heaven.  My prayers are with you.

Erin, what a blessing for God to give you this man as your husband and the father to your children. He touched so many lives and me and God saw fit to include me and my family as part of that even if for a short time. Our lives were enriched by knowing him and you. We are praying for you and the kids, and we love you, sister in Christ.  When we love deeply we mourn deeply; but God catches every single tear and holds you in his loving arms.

I know that heaven is rejoicing with his home going. I pray that Erin and the kids feel God's comfort and peace as He walks through this with them. Love and prayers 🙏🏼

I am sending my deepest condolences to Erin and the family. I will always remember Alex’s “smiling eyes”. The joy he shared through his eyes are unforgettable. May God comfort all of you during this difficult time and surround your family with peace, love, and strength. Please know that you are in my thoughts and prayers, and that his life and faith will always be remembered.

No matter what was going on around he always looked up. And loves so much.

I had the pleasure of being his roommate during one of the conferences and he was just amazed of how quiet I would leave or come in to the room lol. He called me the giant ninja because he was all about that sleep. Such a great person.

There are very few people in a lifetime who leave a truly lasting impression. To me, Alex was one of those rare souls.

He was more than a coworker or friend. He was a mentor in work, in life, and in growing spiritually. I feel incredibly blessed to have known him and to have shared part of this life with him over the past eight years. The wisdom, kindness, and guidance he gave so freely to myself and so many others created a legacy that is nothing short of beautiful. I will treasure those moments for the rest of my life. If only I had known that last trip together would be the last, there is so much more I would have said.

While our hearts ache deeply from the loss of him here, we find comfort in knowing he is no longer in pain. He is now in the most glorious kingdom of all, at peace and surrounded by everlasting light. Though we grieve, we also hope to find peace in his release and in the promise that this goodbye is not forever.

Alex, we miss you more than words could ever fully express. Thank you for being such an extraordinary guide, mentor, and friend to so many. Until we meet again — and I have no doubt we will — I know you’ll be there sharing the ropes in the kingdom and offering a helping hand, just as you always did.

We will treasure our moments and memories with you forever.

Alex was an exceptional friend, a devoted husband, and a loving father. His kindness, strength, and presence touched the lives of so many, and he will be deeply missed by all who knew him. While our hearts mourn his loss, we find comfort in knowing that he is now at peace with the Lord.

You have always been a great example of what a man who loves Jesus Christ looks like, my friend. You have lived a legacy that will not be forgotten. I love you, brother and I look forward to being with you one day.
