Derick Lemos Pinheiro passed on June 13, 2026, at the age of 23. Born on July 18, 2002, Derick resided in Saint Johns, Florida. Though his years were far too few, they were marked by courage and a steady, faithful spirit—by a kindness that showed itself in loyalty, generosity, and a selfless way of caring for the people who mattered most. He was a special son, and very loved by his mother and father. Derick was deeply cherished and beloved by all those around him, and the loss of his presence is felt with profound sorrow and enduring love.
Derick’s life reflected an adventurous heart and a hard-working drive, balanced by a warm humor that could lighten a moment and draw others close. He found joy in motorcycles, going to the gym, and time at the beach and on the water. He enjoyed playing pool, music, nightlife, and the simple comforts that became part of his everyday rhythm—Wawa, Dunkin Donuts, and Zaxby’s. His favorite TV shows included South Park, Chavez, and Everybody Hates Chris. He also loved dogs; even the smallest details—like mayonnaise packets—could spark a familiar smile for those who knew him best. In all of it, there was a quiet wisdom in how he lived: present, devoted, and inspiring in the way he showed up for others. Derick is survived by his maternal Grandparents; Elza Lemos de Araújo and Raimundo Nonato da Silva and paternal Grandparents; Maria de Jesus Oliveira and Francisco das Chagas Pinheiro.
Visitation will be held at Hardage-Giddens St Johns Funeral Home, at 1285 St Johns Parkway, St. Johns, FL 32259, on June 27, 2026, from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm, followed by A Celebration of Life on June 27, 2026, from 3:00 pm to 4:00 pm. Pastor Eduardo Santana will officiate.
Derick will be remembered for his brave heart, his kind nature, his steadfast faith, and the loyal love he gave so freely. He remains cherished—always.
