

Helen T. Cardin, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on September 9, 2025, in Jacksonville, Florida, surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Fall River, Massachusetts, on October 19, 1929, to the late Bernadette and Edwin Burns, Helen met the love of her life, Henri Cardin, and they were married on October 8, 1949. Together they built a life filled with love, laughter, and unwavering devotion.
Helen began her working years in factory labor but chose to stay home to raise her family, a role she embraced wholeheartedly. She was known for her warmth, humor, and deep love for her family.
A devout Catholic, Helen’s faith was central to her life. She found strength and comfort in her relationship with God and shared that faith through kindness and compassion.
Helen was preceded in death by her husband Henri; her son, Richard Cardin Sr.; her sisters, Rita Smith, Lillian Guillemette, and Alice Guillemette; and grandson-in-law, Loros Yousefzadeh.
Helen is survived by her children: Edwin Cardin (Sharon Cardin), Doreen Susko (Tom Beaupre), and NancyAnn Cardin; her grandchildren: Marc Martocchio (Nicole), Nicole Yousefzadeh, Nicholas Susko (Becky), Rachelle Susko, Richard Cardin Jr., Hannah Cardin, and Elizabeth Susko; ten great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.
Helen’s love, faith, and joyful spirit will remain in the hearts of all who knew her.
A Celebration of Life will be at 10:00 am on Friday, October 3, 2025 at St. Joseph's Historic Church, 4214 Loretto Road, Jacksonville, FL 32223.
