On the morning of August 22nd, after losing the battle to an aggressive form of brain cancer, Julie Persia was called up by our Heavenly Father. She passed away peacefully, after a life of deep faith and devotion to her children.
Born in Detroit, MI to Raymond Joseph and Sonya Kathleen Persia. Julie Persia grew up in Farmington and Milford, Michigan with her three older siblings. She attended Redford Union Elementary, Central Institute for the Deaf, Ida High School, Clarke School for the Deaf, and Rochester Institute of Technology. In her youth she loved spending time with animals, the outdoors, and snow skiing - a joy that continued throughout her life.
She moved to Florida as an adult, where she married the love of her life, Richard Fromberg. Julie enjoyed traveling with her husband and loved walking, making a point to walk 2 hours every day! She spent much of her time traveling to Fenton, Michigan to visit her beloved parents, children, and grandchildren. She loved to sing, and dance (especially around her children).
Julie is preceded in death by her cherished brother, Raymond Lee Persia. She is survived by her husband, Richard Fromberg; her parents, Raymond and Sonya Persia; her sister, Kim Persia; her sister, Amber (Phillip) Persia-Hodges; her children, Jake (Katherine) Hoppert, Victor Poma, Isabella Poma; her three grandchildren, Thira, Iona, and Rhodes Hoppert; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Julie left a lasting imprint on her family, she will be fondly remembered as someone who was unwavering in the defense of her beliefs and ideals, and as a lighthearted woman who loved a good prank. She will be sorely missed by those who knew her.
