

Steven Ray Winner, born on November 29, 1951, passed away on September 26, 2025, at the age of 73. He was a resident of Saint Johns, Florida, and previously lived in Reno, Nevada. Steve was known for being caring, hard-working, humorous, selfless, thoughtful, and resilient. Steve enjoyed a distinguished career as a pilot, flying with American Airlines until his retirement. His love for aviation and the thrill of flying were defining parts of his life.
Steve was preceded in death by his parents, Myra Cameron and Raymond Winner, and his nephew, Kevin Winner. He is survived by his daughters, Debra Smith (Charlie), Amanda Cahigas, Renee Winner, and Lindsey Winner; his grandchildren, Gavin, Harley, Christian, Hayden, and Goldie; his brother, Byron Winner (Audrey); his sister, Toni Winner; his niece, Jennifer Winner; and his lifelong friends, Jim and Kathi Chase, who were like family to him.
In his personal life, Steve loved building and flying model airplanes, traveling the world, spoiling his dog, Rhino, and the speed of his motorcycles. He cherished being with family and friends, leaving behind a legacy of love and laughter.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date in Reno, Nevada.
